The Great Silence

A cautionary tale of war, propaganda, hubris and the worst pandemic of the 20th century.

THE GREAT SILENCE interrogates the mystery of why President Woodrow Wilson never publicly addressed the Spanish Flu pandemic of 1918-19. Guided by historian John Barry, and constructed out of the archival remains of the era, its story of hubris and public health reverberates through the last 100 years of history and into our present crisis.
